BIAS was set up by Peter Dean in 2005 driven by a desire to transform financial data to generate insights that help make decisions that align with business strategy.
At the time many finance functions were focused on historical (lagging) measures and key performance indicators (KPIs). BIAS wanted to help teams generate leading KPIs and make them available to the wider organisation initially around sales and marketing then more latterly with an operations focus. From these insights departmental leaders can establish transformation projects to improve business processes.
While analytics and KPIs are now widely used in sales, marketing and operations there is still a much smaller engagement with these tools and measures in Human Resource teams (HR). We believe that there are powerful benefits to utilising people/HR analytics to support decisions about people. We also believe that you don’t have to be a data scientist to realise those benefits – that’s where BIAS come in. As an HR specialist you know the best HR strategies and activities available and our role is to help support you with data that ensures you prioritise those activities to get the most effective results.
