The Brief

Each month, account managers produced a reporting pack for each customer by downloading several reports from different operational systems (ordering, invoicing, customer service, stock) and putting them together. This was both time-consuming and also prone to errors. Most importantly, the reports received by the different customers were not consistent.

The company needed one version of the truth, and a consistent view of performance for each customer.

The Solution

Having partnered with Dimensions for many years, BIAS were able to quickly understand, clean and collate various data sources together, producing a dashboard with KPIs, along with a more detailed reporting pack. Qlik Distribution Service was used to produce and distribute an individual dashboard for each customer.

The Result

The Dashboards gave external customers as well as internal account managers and directors the ability to look at the status of each customer on a daily basis as opposed to the monthly update, which was time-consuming to produce and only enabled reactive measures.

The ability to drill-down to the data at a branch, product or order level enabled quick understanding of key drivers behind variances and prevented trends leading to unnecessary challenges.

In addition, account managers were able to focus on their day job, driving the business forward, as opposed to producing reports, at the expense of delighting customers.
